A YEAR MARKED BY THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROMISING ALLIANCES, BY THE CONSOLIDATION OF OUR FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND BY INCREASED VISIBILITY.
Since its inception in 1995, the Women’s Y Foundation has supported the fulfilment of the YWCA Montreal’s mission to build a better future for women and girls.
The Women’s Y Foundation, through its action and influence, remains a key ally in ensuring the financial support and visibility of the YWCA Montreal. It is a dynamic and innovative institution that has helped position the YWCA Montreal as the benchmark for personal, social and professional development of women and girls, helping them contribute to society to the best of their abilities.
To reduce exclusion and social and gender inequality, as well as all forms of violence against women and girls, we must reach beyond our daily and Individual actions for women and girls. That is why we have organized, collaborated, and participated in many events and campaigns to promote mobilization, engagement, and awareness around women’s issues.
The YWCA Board of Directors adheres to good governance practices to safeguard the organization’s financial sustainability and to disseminate a clear vision for the future. Through its work and that of its committees, the board ensures that the strategic directions and objectives of the YWCA are respected.
The strength of the YWCA lies in the qualities, skills and experience of its administrators, as well as of those of its management team and staff. Faced with financial realities specific to the community environment, the board adopts a proactive management approach and maintains open communication within the organization.
